Cameroon-Commonwealth Cooperation: Chairman of CWEIC praises government for her economic resilience.

A Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) delegation, led by the Chairman of the Council, Lord Jonathan Peter Marland, has jointly been received in audience on 11 April 2023, by the Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze and the Minister Delegate in the Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development in charge of Planning, Paul Tasong.

 

In his word to the Media, Lord Jonathan Peter Marland explained that their discussions were centered on how working with 55 Commonwealth Countries, they could help Cameroon with inward investment and with the promotion of the outward investment and trade in this post COVID and post Ukrainian war situation.

The Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council acclaimed Cameroons luck to have food security and growth in the economy despite the challenges. He said the countries debt to GDP in relation to many of the Western Countries was good, putting Cameroon in a good place to move forward and continue to prosper.
After his visit last October 2022, Lord Jonathan Peter Marland is in Cameroon to discuss business opportunities in Cameroon to promote within the Common Wealth space. He hopes to multiply these opportunities and has expressed profound gratitude at the welcome he has so far received in Cameroon.
