Dans le cadre de la maturation du Programme « Bâtir les Capacités et les Compétences pour l’Employabilité et l’Entrepreneuriat dans la Région de l’Extrême-Nord du Cameroun » (CAP2E), qui sera mis en œuvre à travers le Programme Spécial de Reconstruction et de Développement de la Région de l’Extrême-Nord (PSRDREN) avec l’accompagnement de la Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD), une évaluation des systèmes environnemental et social (ESES) a été réalisée. Les résultats de cette évaluation approfondie menée conformément au Système de Sauvegarde Intégré de la Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) et à la Loi-cadre n°96/12 du 5 août 1996 relative à la gestion de l’environnement du Cameroun, classent le Programme CAP2E en catégorie 2 – Risque modéré. Cette catégorie correspondant aux projets susceptibles d’avoir des impacts environnementaux et sociaux négatifs limités, spécifiques à un site, et en général faciles à mitiger.

As part of the maturation of the Program called “Building Capacities and Skills for Employability and Entrepreneurship in the Far North Region of Cameroon” (CAP2E), which will be implemented through the Special Program for Reconstruction and Development of the Far North Region (PSRDREN) with the support of the African Development Bank (AfDB),  an Environmental and Social Systems Assessment (ESA) was carried out. The results of this in-depth evaluation conducted in accordance with the Integrated Safeguard System of the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Framework Law No. 96/12 of 5 August 1996 on the management of the environment of Cameroon , classify CAP2E in category 2 – Moderate Risk. This category corresponds to projects likely to have limited negative environmental and social impacts, site-specific, and generally easy to mitigate.
