The Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Economy, in charge of Planning

Paul Tasong Njukang, Cameroonian, was born on March 20, 1963 in M’mockmbie in the Lebialem Division, South-West Region. He is married and father of four children.

Mr Paul Tasong Njukang graduated from the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM) in 1988 (Tax Inspector). obtained a diploma in Public Finance Management from Harvard University in 2010, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration Management and a Diploma in Development policy from the Institute of Development Policy and Management of the University of Antwerp (Belgium), in 1996 and 1995 respectively.

Prior to his promotion to Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, in charge of Planning on 2 March 2018, Paul Tasong Njukang was successively Commissioner for Economic, Monetary and Financial Policy Affairs at the CEMAC Commission (2012-2017); Secretary General (2010-2012) and Director of Public Investment Programming (2004-2010) at the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development. With regard to his professional background, the current MINDEL/MINEPAT is well versed in regional integration policy; tax policy; public finance management; macroeconomic framework; multilateral cooperation oversight; business climate follow-up; statistical data monitoring; strategic planning; public investment management; and external funding mobilisation among others. As a politician, Paul Tasong Njukang has been the Head of the Cameroon People Democratic Movement (CPDM) Central Committee’s Permanent Delegation in Lebialem since 2016.
